I was wondering who might pick up on that subtlety! 72 was the year I moved to King City, and also the year that Little Milton Bostock wrote his epic poem "Thick as a Brick". Little Milton and I are precisely the same age, (eight in 1972) and it was he that turned me on to literature and the power of the written and spoken word. Kingcentric was born long before I had any aspirations of running for council. It was created as a response, and creative outlet to our local rags here in King Township. It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and so it is no coincidence that the design and layout of Kingcentric mimic that of the St. Cleve Chronicle, a concept that is intended to carry on long after I quit this game as I write myself in and out of this political Passion Play. If nothing else, it gives me something to think, write and muse about beyond the mundane of a dry and witless council agennndumb. For what its worth, "Is it any wonder apathy takes hold", was to some extent a gamble and an experiment - but primarily...a kind of "Carl Sagan" trawl for intelligent life.

"As I peeeeer out..."...;)

Thanks for the encouragement.

Excellent article -- and oh so true. You have "stones" for telling it like it is Cleve. Plus using Peter Gabriel, Jethro Tull & Pink Floyd all at once is a feat in itself.

Well thought out -- and written.
